A gentleman in my lace group shared this work of art that he knitted in size 200 thread on needles he fashioned from the wires used in heart catheterizations! The pattern would normally make a tablecloth, but this was about 18 inches across.
Holy crow! Did he work under a magnifying glass? What great exercise for manual dexterity and concentration. Is he a surgeon? Where did he get heart cathertization wires and are they new, or used? "Here, Mrs. Jones, I knitted this doily on the wires I used to catherize your heart."
