Christmas Tree Pattern

Here's today's offering:

Little Fire Longies

I finished the Little Fire Longies that I was beta testing. They worked up nice, but I had to make the gusset narrower than the pattern called for in order to get the right number of stitches for each leg. I made them with Patons Classic Merino.

Side view shows the back is bigger

Side view on William

I like how there is more room for his diapered butt!

The only way I could get a front view was to lay William down because he kept walking toward me!

Aren't I cute in my camo pants??

"Heart One" Pattern

Here is the next tatting pattern that I put up. It was the first heart I did in a round robin (Hence the name!)

Holes

Our frost-free hydrant was leaking somewhere and we had a bog in our front yard (the grass right around it was very lush!)

We turned the pump off (to stop the leak) and started digging to find the problem

Sarah was digging for "gold"

I told Dan I felt like we were in the movie "Holes" (with Shia LaBeouf)

After having the pump on for an hour, the hole filled up with water again! (Later the hole had water whether the pump had been on or not)

The red line is the water line.

Digging

More digging

To give you an idea of how deep the hole is, that is a regular shovel in the bottom of the hole, with the grass being the level ground.

Here you can see the bend in the pipe going to the well/pump

It turned out that the pipe wasn't leaking, just the hydrant, so that was good!

Taking out the old hydrant

The old hydrant next to the new one

We decided to put stones in the bottom to help with drainage

Time to fill in the hole

The girls packing the dirt down

All filled in

William is 11 Months Old Today

Come, you children,...

listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Psalm 34:11

I love how intently William is listening to Pastor Whittenburg during Wednesday evening Bible Study!

Look Who's Starting to Feed Himself!

Of course, he still uses his hands, too!

God's Promises

We were going to Wednesday evening church a couple of weeks ago and saw a beautiful rainbow. It was a double rainbow and we could see the whole arch. It was spectacular.

The picture was out the still-moving-car's window and isn't close to as beautiful as it really was!

I Ran Out of Yarn!

I got all of one leg and 5 rows of the second leg done and I ran out of yarn! I would have had enough if I was doing shorties! I just picked up another skein of camo yarn today, so hopefully these will be done soon!

TIAS is Finished!

They turned out to be lighthouse bookmarks!

Couch Potato

Okay, so I know this isn't the healthiest snack, but I thought it was cute!

Tents, Caves & Castles

The girls love to have "tents" made. Here are some recent ones!

The girls have "sleeping bags" -- pillow cases!
