Loom Knitting

Emily and William had been bugging me to teach them to loom knit since I got the rectangle looms at the Fiber Fiesta.  So two weeks ago, I sat down and showed them.  Emily picked it up really fast and can do all the parts herself.  Will can't quite keep the yarn from unwrapping while trying to wrap the loops, but he's only 3½, so he has time to perfect his skill!

Andy wished he could do it, too

That's so cute that they want to do that! I remember trying to teach my brother when he was 6 or 7, he never quite picked it up... But then again, I WAS trying to force him!

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do!

Getting them started early, huh? :) The other day when we were sitting at the MVD waiting for David to take his driving test, Naomi was sitting there chain-stitching pink yarn the entire time. It ended up pretty long! It's so fun to see them wanting to create things, isn't it? :)

It looks like fun! Are they making anything in particular or just practicing?

They say they are making either bags or scarves.
