Fun! I remember losing a tooth on the walk home from school when I was in first grade. :) Did Sarah still have the tooth with her when she got home? Naomi lost her first tooth down the toilet shortly after it came out. She was so sad. :(
Jesse is about to lose his first tooth... the same one that Sarah just lost. Naomi has been trying so hard to help his tooth come out! He's taken it quite well that his younger sister lost two teeth before he has lost any. :)
Yes, she had put it into her lunch box. She put it in the tooth pillow I had gotten from the dollar store, but then at dinner, lost it on the floor. We did eventually find it again. I "traded" it for a flower shaped eraser and put her tooth in an empty medicine bottle to save for her.
Jesse finally lost his first tooth last night, while we were at our church's Super Bowl party. He was showing everybody the bloody space in his mouth. :)
We do the "tooth fairy" thing... pretending to be totally innocent of being the tooth fairy, when all the kids know it's really me. I often forget to get the tooth and replace it with money. By the time they're sleeping I forget to go back into their room...
But this morning, I woke up before the kids and suddenly remembered! So, the tooth fairy didn't forget this time... :)
Around the time that Sarah's tooth was first loose, she said to me, "You're the Tooth Fairy, too, aren't you?" (Since she knew that presents come from us and not Santa) so I figured I would do some sort of a present for lost teeth. The eraser was in a pack of 36 for $1, so she got about 2½¢ for her tooth! I actually had forgotten to do it until morning and Emily was already up and out of bed. It takes Sarah a bit to wake up, so I went in and got the tooth pillow and traded for the eraser and then went back in and put it back!

That is cute that Will wanted to show his teeth too. Doesn't seem possible it is time for Sarah to be losing teeth. Love Ya, Mom
