Front Flower Garden: Another Update

I came to the conclusion that the majority of what was growing in the front flower bed was weeds.  So we weeded them.  We found a few white flowers and 1 snapdragon (and possibly a few more that aren't blooming).  I got some violas (my 2nd favorite flower) and planted in the flower bed so it has some color.  The strawberries we uncovered are thriving!  I need to figure out a better spot for them as I really do want this to be a flower bed!  ☺  My poinsettias are also doing really well.

There are more of the snapdragon buds blooming now, so the whole head is covered.  The flowers are so tiny!

Midwest Rendezvous

It didn't turn out to be quite what we were thinking it would be, but it was still nice.  The very first person I saw was the "Native American" who has given us seeds at the Rogue River event!

Kids' Day at the Fair

We waited for an hour in line and spent about 15 minutes inside the room doing the activities!  But the kids had fun.

Poinsettias

I have never had any poinsettias that I get last through the winter without dying.  This year, I had two that have survived!  I looked up how to take care of them so I can see if they will bloom for Christmas again.

A Visit to the Fair

Wednesday is "Kid's Day" at the fair and we always go then and do the special activities and then go and look at the animals afterwards.  We were going to go to a Rendezvous today, but decided not to since it was raining and likely not to have much going on.  We decided to go to the Rendezvous tomorrow instead.   This would interfere with our normal visit to the fair.  So we decided to see the animals today and just do the special activities tomorrow before going on to the Rendezvous.  It actually made it nicer to not fit so much into one trip!
