Book Review: "Bluebonnet Bride: A Butterfly Palace Story" by Colleen Coble

I received a free eBook copy of "Bluebonnet Bride" by Colleen Coble through BookLook Bloggers in order for me to read and review it.

Elli Korpela flees Finland after the death of her father, sure that her neighbor had him killed so he could take her home and her. She comes to Texas as a Mail Order Bride.  Nathan White decides he needs someone to take care of his 4 year old niece who he has raised since she was a baby.  When Elli is attacked, did her past find her or is it unrest at the quarry that Nathan manages?

"Bluebonnet Bride" is a novella.  It is about 60 pages long. I thought that the story didn't feel rushed or that the story was lacking.  I didn't figure out what was going on with the attack until the characters did, so I liked that.

When I was looking for "Bluebonnet Bride" online so I could link to it, I was surprised to see that Colleen Coble had a book called "Butterfly Palace", which is the story of some of the characters mentioned in "Bluebonnet Bride"!  I also didn't realize that I had read a novella by Colleen Coble.  She wrote the first part of "Secretly Smitten" which I previously reviewed.

I would recommend this story to those who like a good clean mystery romance that doesn't take a long time to read.

You can get "Bluebonnet Bride" on Amazon.com for $2.99
