Almost a Nursery!

I couldn't wait until it was all finished to post pictures of William's room!

This is the color it started from being Emily's nursery.

The girls helped paint, too!

Emily had the sponge backward so she just painted herself, but she had fun anyway!

Sarah wanted to use a brush but I told her we were using the sponge for this time! (She helped to paint Emily's room with a brush)

The pictures of the girls painting show the wall color pretty well. I was trying to make the walls look like water, and I don't know if I succeeded, but I think they look okay!

Here are the "after" pictures:

I still have to put up the wall decals and do a little more decorating. I also have to make a cover for the rocking chair cushion.

Your nursery looks great! Your girls must be excited to have a little brother added to the family. They look so serious with their knitting, they'll be tatting soon!

Hi Becky!

I like what you did with the walls. WOW! That's a *lot* of sponging!! The girls look like they were enjoying the process. :)

Oh, I bet you can hardly wait to meet William!! It's getting close now... how many weeks? Isn't it like 5 or 6 now?

It was fun to see the nursery photos. Thanks for posting them!

Your sis,
Amy :)

I actually "cheated" with sponge painting the wall. I had planned on doing them using the little sponge the girls used, but I found a sponge roller brush, so I splurged and got it! I had the main part of the room done in about an hour! I went back over it with the small sponge where it didn't look quite right. I am currently at 32 weeks.

Ah, that *would* make it a lot easier for sponging the walls! :) I've never tried sponging walls, but I had a friend who was really into it and sponged practically everywhere in her house.

The closest I came was using a sponge to make the clouds in Marissa's horse bedroom in Marquette. I kinda wish I could do something like that here... but I don't think the landlord would appreciate it!!

Wow... 32 weeks! I remember when I'd hit 30 weeks, feeling like we were getting *so* close to the end. Soon William will be on the outside for you to hold with your arms. Bet you can hardly wait!! :)
