Book Review: "Whisper if You Have To" by Staci Stallings

The author gifted me a copy of "Whisper if You Have To" by Staci Stallings in order for me to review it.

Alison Prescott has gone to a private school for girls her whole high school career until her family moves and she has to attend a public school.  She doesn't know how to *do* normal high schooler and feels like an invisible outsider.  She is befriended by Brooke Morgan in choir class, then paired with basketball star Chad Dourozette for an English project.   She slowly finds the "real" Alison inside herself.

From the outside, both Alison and Chad look like their lives are figured out and great, but they both have secrets that they struggle to keep hidden.  When they can no longer keep their secrets, will they face rejection, or find the love they've been looking for?

Staci Stallings has a talent for drawing you into the story and feeling like you are right there in the midst of the action.  While "Whisper if You Have To" is set in high school, I still enjoyed the story and felt the characters were believable and it's been a LONG time since I was in high school!  I spent several days staying up way too long reading this book!  "Whisper if You Have To" switches back and forth from Alison to Chad's point of view.

If you are teenager, an older person who can relate with someone doing their best to be the perfect version of themselves, or someone who just likes a great clean Inspirational romance, this is a good book for you!  One caveat, if you think that people with different skin colors shouldn't date, then this isn't the story for you.
