Garage Sale!

I thought that since we live on the opposite side of M91 as the fairgrounds, we might be able to get a little more traffic for a garage sale, so my parents joined me in having a sale.  Thursday, we had 50 cars, but only a handful that bought things, Friday we had 16 with about half buying something.  We'll see how today goes!

Misc. household items
Craft type things and baby accessories

maternity and nursing clothes, and more baby stuff

More dresses

Baby girl clothes

Baby boy clothes
It would be nice to be able to sell most/all of the baby clothes as it would be nice to have the extra space!

4H Fair 2011

Wednesday, my family, as well as my mom & dad, and my sister and her 3 kids went to the fair to look at the animals and participate in the "Kids Day" activities and freebies.

Andy really liked the donkey!

William checking out the turkeys

This is his response to the loud "gobbling" (you may need to click to see the picture bigger)

Dan decided to give the cow some attention, too.

Horses

I used to teach with this girl's mom!

The cow turned her head away just as I took the picture.

William and cousin Anna looking at the alpacas

Everyone looking at the alpacas.

William on a big tractor

Andy climbing up (he really LOVED the tractors!) ☺

Size comparison!

Sarah wouldn't climb up any farther (and she was trying to get Andy to stop climbing all the way up!)

Emily only made it this far up because Dan put her there.

This was more on her level!

Knee High by the Fourth of July

Well, not quite!

Unless you are 2 years old!

Andy checking out the corn

My letuce is growing (and so are the weeds, time to get out there and weed again!)

What I thought was a yellow bell pepper is actually a chile pepper!

2011 4H Fair Results

I popped into the fairgrounds on my way to evening church to see how my entries had done.  The fair is in a brand new location, so the still exhibit buildings weren't finished yet and they had everything in a big tent.  So the ground is dirt/sand and they didn't have much set up for the exhibits.

The sewing entries
Everything else

Any other craft

Any other crocheted item (incidently, there was another item in this class which also got 1st place--how does that work??)

Youth Activities - Color
Families in Action - Color

Baby garment

Adult Garment

Child Garment

Any other Sewn item (it said Garment, but last year this class had a purse, so I figured it would fit!)  I was much happier with my puppet entry's results this year than last year!
Christmas Decoration

We will be going to look at the animals on Wednesday, so pictures of that will follow in the days (or weeks!) after.
