Valentine's Day Boxes

This year, we decided (translate "I decided") to make the Valentine boxes for school out of paper mache. The kids picked out what they wanted their boxes to be and away we went.

I ended up doing a lot more on the boxes while the kids were in school (except Emily's who did the majority of her own box-I painted 1 layer of white paint on hers)

Emi wanted her box to match "Hugs" the dog

Unfortunately, Will's teacher changed her mind about the kids making their boxes at home and bringing them in (and scraped all the plans we'd made at the planning meeting the first week of school) so he wasn't able to use his Enderman box. He was not a very happy camper.
Will's unfinished Enderman (from Minecraft) since he couldn't use it

Emily's class was going to watch "Frozen" and could bring in a blanket and stuffed toy.  She asked if I could make her a blue blanket with a pink heart on it, with a green heart inside of it, with a yellow heart inside of it. (everyone's favorite colors)

Valentine's Day Parties

I got to help out in the girls' classes again for their Valentine's Day parties.  Emily's was first thing in the morning and they had pancakes and fruit.  Sarah's was the last thing of the day.
