Book Review: "The Flaming Sword" by Heather L.L. FitzGerald

"The Flaming Sword" is the second book in the 'Tethered World Chronicles' series and picks up right after the first book leaves off. It would be extremely beneficial to read the first book, "The Tethered World", before reading this book as it sets the stage for the Larcen family and their connection to The Tethered World and it's "mythical" creatures, trolls, gnomes, dwarves, ogres.... Now would be a good time to get the first book as it is free for Kindle until November 2, 2016. This book was non stop action from the beginning when Aunt Jules shows up at their house sporting a black eye and a mysterious note, all the way to the very end. There were so many twists and turns in the story that I was never sure what was going to happen and who to trust. It was nice to meet up with Xander, Joannie, Lava, and other characters we met in the first book. Sadie continued on her path of growth and realizing her own strength under difficult circumstances. The book is written in Sadie's first person point of view like the first one, but this book also includes sections that follow Brady in the third person. The book is recommended for 9-17 year olds, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and think others will, too. I can't wait for the third book to come out.

There is going to be a Facebook book release party on Nov. 1, 2016 from 7-9pm EST.
