Normally, I have birthday parties on the Sunday closest to the actual birthday. This year, Emily's birthday was 2 days after Easter, so I figured that wouldn't work for having her party. My extended family on my mom's side gets together every Thanksgiving and Easter, so I decided to have Emi's party at the Easter get together as everyone that would be coming to Emi's party would be there. I baked extra cake to make sure I'd have enough for everyone, and had a lot left over since not many people had cake, so I could have saved myself a lot of work and not made so much.
