Sarah's First Day of School

Tuesday was Sarah's first day of Kindergarten. She was very excited! Since it was Dan's day off, we brought her to school. She is the 8th grandchild to start school, but the first to *go* to school since the rest have all been homeschooled.

Sarah wanted to give her teacher an apple! Mrs. Linn loved it!

Getting her nametag.
There are 26 kids in her class.
We went to pick her up after school and they had put her on the bus, so we went home and waited for her to get there!

Getting on the bus this morning (her first trip to school on the bus)

Ah, Becky, I've been checking your blog to see if you'd put photos up yet! It's fun to see Sarah in her class. How cute about her wanting to give her teacher an apple, too!

And, there's just nothing like those getting on the bus photos. I've been seeing a lot of those this week on Facebook... :)

I'd thought about that, too, about her being the first of the grandkids to "go" to school, even though she's the 8th one to start school. What school is she at? (You can email me that if you don't want to put it on your blog.)

What's it like w/ her being gone? Is she in all day, every day kindergarten, or is it only some days? (Seems like they do all day, every day now, but I thought I'd ask...)

Love ya!
Amy & fam :)

It is all day, every day (with no rest time!) They just started doing all day, every day last year. They had done all day, alternate days before that. The first day that she was at school, we ran errands and then the kids napped until it was time to pick her up, but the 2nd day was a "normal" day and it was quite a bit quieter! She asked this morning when she was going to have a break from school. She's getting tired out, I think! Of course, yesterday was also the first week of Olympians at church and Tuesday we were getting ready for Wednesday and Monday we were helping Rachel move, so it's been a busy week besides school!
