It's God's Garden

One of the things we did at church was to repaint the nursery.

The first step was to put primer over the existing decor.

These don't look quite as bad in these pictures as they did in person. The lines were very thick and messy. Especially the Tigger that is cut off on the right side of this picture.

The bottom of the walls was covered in a marble sheeting of some sort. We had to use special primer that would cover shiny surfaces. This picture also shows the original location of a cabinet they moved to the other side of the room.

Day 2: Paint first coat

Day 3: Paint 2nd coat of green and touch up spots on blue

Step 2 of Day 3: Paint accent flowers.

We got some wood flowers and bugs to use on the walls and it saved us having to paint them all!

"Finished"

I forgot to move the reading corner curtain to take a picture of the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" we painted in the corner.

We still need to hang a little bulletin board and add a few more painted bugs.

Amazing Grace Baptist Church

Our church had its 1st service October 6, 2007 and since then, we've met in several locations.

1st, we met at one of the member family's pole barn. (10/6/07)
That is Dan and me in the front row (I'm pregnant with William)

2nd, we met at a local orchard's multi purpose building (2/3/08)

3rd, we met at our Pastor's house (8/3/08)

Then a church building became empty and we moved there. (5/3/09) We were 1 of 3 ministries meeting there.

The church association that owns the building needed the pews for another church, so we started using folding chairs (10/18/09)

At the beginning of March, the other 2 ministries decided to not meet at the building any more, giving us sole occupancy. We've been doing a lot of work in the church to "up date" it.
1st service with our new chairs! (03/21/10)
