My Little Dude

I was calling William, "Sir", but Sarah kept responding thinking I had said, "Sarah". So I have taken to calling Will, "Little Dude", like the sea turtle in "Finding Nemo".

Here is my little dude wearing the first pair of longies that I made for him. He's doing the "rebel" thing!

The girls wanted in on the picture taking, too.

Emily is holding the doll she has starting calling "Dude"!

Crocheted Longies

I beta tested a Brillopants crocheted longie pattern (size small).

They were very easy and quick to make.

I used a mystery thrift store find wool yarn that I hand dyed using Kool-Aid.

I ran out of the rainbow yarn, so I added some green (also dyed with Kool-Aid) on the ends like cuffs.

Now, all sewn together.

I thought it was interesting how the legs turned out differently even using the same yarn.

Here they are on my 21 month old (22 lbs).

They are a little tight on her legs.

Here they are on my 1 month old (10 lbs).

Obviously quite a bit large on him (and the cuffs are turned up) , but he has a tiny heiny.

Christmas Program

Sarah had her first Christmas program at church today.

Shoveling Snow

Sarah loves to shovel snow (how long do you think that will last??) and here she is helping Daddy clean out the driveway.

Here the girls are shoveling together.

West Michigan Lace Group Christmas Party

My lace group had an ornament exchange this month and this is the one I made. It is made with Romanian Point Lace

Here are the members of my lace group (plus a few kids--mostly mine and you can't see the other boy that was there)

Homemade Pizza

The girls helped Grandma make homemade pizza.

Yum Yum!

First Bath!

William had his first bath!

Purewool!

I had heard a lot about Purewool so when one of my Yahoo Groups was going to do a group buy, I had to try it out.

This is the bulging mailer my yarn came in!

Here is my yarn laid out on the bed.

This is a close up of the 4 colors that I ordered. I got (from the right) Blauer Reiter, Gentlemen, Violet & Yellow, and then yellow to match the other 3 to use as accents.
