Planting a Forest

The kids got baby pine trees from school for Arbor Day. We only have less than an acre of land, so we planted them at Grandpa and Grandma's who have almost 10 acres.

Touch A Truck

About a month ago, our town had a "Touch a Truck" event. All sorts of vehicles came and the public could come and explore them. There were vehicles used for rescue, on the farm, military, a hearse, a ice cream truck..... and it was FREE ☺

Memorial Day 2015

We took our usual trip to the cemetery to put flowers on Grandpa and Grandma Dempsey's graves. The weather was overcast and warm, which was nice for the pictures. Although it was a little windy. The rain held off until we were on our way home.

Odyssey of the Mind

Emily was in Odyssey of the Mind this year. She loved it.  Her whole team (including the coach) were participating for the first time.  They had their competition in February (can you see I've fallen behind on my blogging?). They did a dress rehearsal a few days before at the school. They did a "silent movie" and Emi was the props and "sound effects" girl.

 

The actual performance (I didn't get many pictures as my SD card got filled in the middle of filming it, so my dad, who had been taking pictures, gave me his SD card so I could film the rest of the performance)
