Home And School Mosaics Newsletter
I just found out that I'm going to be in the March newsletter for Home and School Mosaics! Getting the newsletter is the only way to see my article for this month. The newsletter goes out on the 10th, so you should still have time to subscribe if you want!

"The Ride on Pegasus"
I looked through some of my old school papers and found a "story" I had written on June 3, 1981 (I was almost 9) Here it is, complete with missing punctuation and misspelled words!
One night when I was sleeping I heard a tapping sound on my bedroom window. I turned to see what it was. It was Pegasus! He seemed to be saying "Ride me." At first I was afraid but I finally said softly "O-o-k-k-ok." So I opened the window and got on Pegasuses back. Pegasus led me all the way to the big dipper so we could get a drink. He stopped and let me get off him. We got a drink of water and went to sleep. I woke up and I was in bed. I could hardly wait to tell my mom and dad.

January Article for Home & School Mosaics
My first article for Home & School Mosaics is up on the website! It is very strange having my writing up for a larger audience than my own blog/Facebook! If you want to see what I wrote, it is here

National Novel Writing Month
I learned about Nanowrimo right before November started. The idea is to start and finish a new novel (50,000 words) in the month of November. I currently have parts of at least 5 novels started (with at least 3 more ideas!). I knew there wasn't any way I'd have time to fulfill the requirements, but I decided that I'd work on one of my novels at least a little every day in November. There was only one day that I forgot! One day I only managed to write two words, but I did work on it! None of my stories are really any closer to being finished, but it was a good chunk on some of them ☺

Never Settle For Less Than Your Best
This is the banner over a bulletin board in the hallway at the older kids' school. Last week when I was there, I noticed that William has a story he wrote on it, so I had to take some pictures.
William by his story |
He used 'two' instead of 'to', but I think he did a pretty good job! |
Sarah also has a leaf that she recorded a book she read |
This might be easier to see? |

Sarah's Story
When I checked Sarah's folder from school last night, there were 5 sticky notes with parts of a story written on them. This is what they said:

Any ideas what it said??
.
.
.
I asked Sarah to read them to me this morning.
.
.
It says:
.
Monkeys rode on their daddy's backs.
Monkeys wash in the waters.
Monkeys hide in trees from their enemies.
Monkeys eat their fleas.
Monkeys are fast little guys.
She said that they had to look at the pictures in a book and write the story they told.
