Eugene Fitzherbert and Tigerlily

Emily has been asking for a Tigerlily reborn doll since my sister made one for an online class and Sarah has been asking for an "open eyed boy doll".  I bought some kits on sale in April and commissioned my sister to paint them for me.  I made their bodies and clothes with self crafted patterns.  Since I was doing a character baby for Emi, I decided to do a character for Sarah, too.  Since her favorite princess is Rapunzel from "Tangled", I made her a Eugene Fitzherbert (aka Flynn Rider).  I didn't have Eugene's vest completely done for Christmas, but far enough to be presentable!  My dad made the hooks for Eugene's vest as I couldn't find any that worked.

The Journey of Cozy

When I was looking for a prepainted reborn kit to make into a doll for Andy for his birthday, I found this Cozy (the kit's name) on eBay.  It turned out too awful to use as it was, so I stripped it (ie, took the paint off).  It seemed that they took the amount of paint necessary for the whole kit and used it only in certain areas (like the soles of the feet and palms of the hands!)   I took pictures of what it started as (green background), after I stripped the paint (blue background), and after Rachel repainted it for the Dolly Day swap (black background).  I didn't take a picture of the whole kit after I stripped the paint.
