Book Review: "Out of the Ashes" by A.M. Heath

My Thoughts:
"Out of the Ashes" is the third book in the "Ancient Words" series and to best understand it, you need to read the books in order. "Out of the Ashes" tells the story of the characters' lives after the Civil War is over and how they move on with their lives. It is told in third person from the view points of (in order of first appearance): Frank Harper, George Chandler, Melissa Lowe, Olen Harper, Ralph Williams, and Rose Forrister. This book was well written. I liked the Biblical truths found in the story. Aside from Olen , all of the "view point" characters had quite significant growth throughout the story (he had his growth in an earlier book). I really enjoyed the wrap up of the Civil War era portion of the series and look forward to the present day portion and how A. M. Heath will tie the two parts together.
