The text is given as a rhyme, which is fun for the kids. I also really liked how they varied the font to go along with the action of the story. Like they used a small font for the word "small" and "whipped" looks like a wave, to name only a couple examples. The pictures are colorful and fun, but they look out of focus which hurt my eyes (but would probably be fine for kids). I liked how it did call it a "fish" rather than a "whale" as that is what the Bible says. The picture shows a whale, but it was called a fish.
"Jonah and the Great Big Fish" is geared for children in the 4-8 year range. I think that kids younger than this would also enjoy it along with their parents or grandparents.
"Jonah and the Great Big Fish" is available in hardcover edition and is a sturdy, well made book.
