Gulliver's Travels

The kids like to set up their Little People "gates" on our bed and Emily napped in the middle of "Little People Land". It made me think of Gulliver in the land of Lilliput!

And the Little One Said, "Roll Over!"

The kids like to climb into Andrew's crib to visit with him. And he likes to have visitors (usually!)

"Make Me One, Mommy!"

I often hear that request when I make something new, whether tatted, knit, or something else! So after I finished my baby snake which I was planning on trying to sell, I decided that I would knit each of the kids a baby snake. I got out what I had in baby or sock yarn and let them pick which color they wanted. It took me 3 weeks and 1 day to get the 4 snakes done.

The bottom 3 are all made with the same brand, style, and size of yarn, but I had to leave out 15 rows from Andrew's snake to make it the same size!!

This shows the variety you get knitting with self-striping sock yarn! These are both from the same skein of yarn!

"Kevin"

I had been looking for a boy 18" doll for William. I found a doll the other day at Goodwill. I bought it and gave it to William. We named it "Kevin" as Sarah and Emily's doll of the same size are "Katie" and "Kita" respectively. (So I figured I'd stick with the "K" names!)

Emily likes to put hair clips and barrettes in my hair and then have me put them in hers.

Andrew is 5 Months Old!

Andrew is 5 months old today. I took 32 pictures and didn't get any particularly great pictures. He can be all smiles and then I get out the camera and he stops!




Today, he was especially interested in his shoes!

I thought maybe he'd be less interested in his feet, if I took off his shoes. Nope!

A Day in the Life

I wanted to take a picture of Emily & Andrew together since their outfits were similar, but grabbed a couple of all the kids as well.

I like this one as it shows Will "ignoring" me. If he doesn't want to answer a question, or to get his picture taken, or whatever, he scrunches his eyes shut (ie. I can't see you, so you aren't there!)

Here I think he's just goofing around.

This is why I took the bumper out of the crib.

Baby Snake

I decided I wanted to create a knit baby snake to go along with my knit snake pattern. I was sidetracked many times along the way and just finished the smaller version last night.

Along with the original snake (not my pattern).

The longer snakes are ~25" and the baby snake is ~17"
