Growing a Zoo

I'm still working on posting things from this summer!

We had some capsules that when you put them in water, "grow" an animal. We had 4 types and we've done 2 of them: Sea and Zoo/Jungle:

Sea:

Here are the little capsules.

In a bowl of water.

The capsules weren't dissolving very well, so we rubbed the foam animals to get the gel off of them faster.

Zoo/Jungle:

Because the bowl idea didn't work very well, we decided to put them in bottles of warm water and shake them.

This worked better!

1st Bath!

These are from quite awhile ago, but I seem to be behind! So here are Andrew's first bath pictures!

Rogue River Reenactment

Last weekend was the Grand Rogue Reenactment. It sort of snuck up on us and I finished Dan's pants' waistband and sewed a new dress for Emily in the few days beforehand!

Sarah's First Day of School

Tuesday was Sarah's first day of Kindergarten. She was very excited! Since it was Dan's day off, we brought her to school. She is the 8th grandchild to start school, but the first to *go* to school since the rest have all been homeschooled.

We went to pick her up after school and they had put her on the bus, so we went home and waited for her to get there!
