2014 Summer Kids Clothes Week: Day Six
This day brings a wrap dress for Emily. I altered the pattern to actually be a wrap dress. The pattern had a zipper in the back and the wrap was sewn down.

2014 Summer Kids Clothes Week: Day Four
My next project was a shirt for Emily to go with her tier skirt. This is also from "Simplicity 4206: Sewing for Dummies".
The skirt and shirt together:

2014 Summer Kids Clothes Week: Day Three
Next is a matching tier skirt for Sarah in her favorite color, blue. This is also from "Simplicity 4206: Sewing Patterns for Dummies", but I had to make a bigger size since my pattern didn't go big enough.

2014 Summer Kids Clothes Week: Day Two
The piece for today is a simple tier skirt for Emily in pink, her favorite color. ☺This is from "Simplicity 4206: Sewing Patterns for Dummies". It had a lot of instructions on just how to sew (since it's a 'for Dummies' pattern) that I had to skip.

Kids Clothes Week Spring 2014: Day Seven
Since Sarah ended up with an "extra" dress from doing the trial run dress, I made a similar dress for Emily as well.

Kids Clothes Week Spring 2014: Day Three
I sewed Emily's Easter dress today. I figured if something came up and I couldn't get to the other dresses, at least Sarah and I had ones that I'd just sewn (to check the sizes), so I did Emi's dress. ☺

Kids Clothes Week Spring 2014: Day Two
Today I cut out the pieces for everyone's Easter outfits. By cutting out the girls' and my dresses at the same time, I used 5 yards instead of the 6 yards that the patterns said I'd need total. I had gotten 7 yards of fabric since I didn't know at the time what pattern I'd be using, so now I have 2 yards of fabric to make something else.

Kids Clothes Week Spring 2014: Day One
This week is the Spring version of the Kids Clothes Week and I figured it was perfect for working on Easter clothes! Based on the pattern envelope, both girls needed a size that was smaller than they normally wear. So I decided I'd make the size I thought I needed for Sarah in a different fabric as a trial run. If it was too small, then it could be for Emily! It turned out that it did fit Sarah. I used the size 8 pattern but with the length of the size 12.

Winter 2014 Kids Clothes Week: Day 6
The last pair of pants for William is this large cord brown corduroy. It is done the same as the pants from Day 4 (except the top stitching on the side pockets) but this is a cord versus a dress pant.

Today's project was a pair of jeans. These were a little more time consuming!

Winter 2014 Kids Clothes Week: Day 4
Up today, a dress pair of pants made from the cut off part of an adult pair of pants. (I used the hem from the original pants)
