We originally thought of taking the train to Chicago, but couldn't find any good deals on hotels (that didn't have awful reviews), so we decided to go to a hotel in Petoskey that my parents had been to a couple of times before. We asked my sister and parents if they wanted to come. My sister wasn't able to, but my parents came. We checked in on Monday and checked out on Friday.

The kids were fascinated with Boyne Mountain. They've never seen (or remember seeing) real mountains |
We found this horse for a good deal at Goodwill |
In his "stable" for the night |
The kids took turns staying in our room and Grandpa & Grandma's room |
Tuesday:
We drove to Charlevoix to find Petoskey stones:
The campground we went to had quite a bit of snow |
Not every Spring Break can you make a snowman |
The hotel had free haircuts for registered guests:
This is the first time the boys had a non-Mommy done haircut |
The girls got a trim |
The hotel also has a free cafe that is open from 6 am to 10 pm:
How I found the boys at 4 am! |
Wednesday:
We got about 6" of snow.
My turn for a haircut |
Thursday:
We drove up to Mackinaw City (everything was closed, but we went out to the Bridge)
The kids at Lake Huron |
Lake Michigan |

Lake Huron |
Friday:
Our room as we were getting ready to leave
The view from the hotel |
I had taken pictures of everyone else, so I put the camera on the dashboard with the self timer and Dan kept making faces and I caught one! |
