Book Review: "Never a Bridesmaid" by Janice Thompson

"Never a Bridesmaid" by Janice Thompson is the May novella in the "A Year of Weddings Novella" series.

Mari Hays is excited about her sister's engagement announcement right up until she is told she will be the 5th bridesmaid since she is the shortest.  The Maid of Honor has never been a very focused individual, and it is accentuated once she is supposed to help with the wedding. Mari, the ever organized one, steps in to make sure that her sister gets the wedding of her dreams.

Derrick Richardson is the Best Man and while everyone fawns over him being a right fielder for a professional baseball team, he enjoys just being himself with Mari.

"Never a Bridesmaid" is written in Mari's 1st Person point of view. I have read some books in 1st person POV, but it isn't as usual. I enjoyed Mari and Derrick's interactions and their growing feelings for each other.

This was a cute novella and I would recommend it.
