Book Review: "A July Bride" by Beth Wiseman

BookLookBloggers gave me the opportunity to review "A July Bride" by Beth Wiseman by sending me a free eBook copy in exchange for my honest review.

"A July Bride" opens with Alyssa Pennington's wedding and closes with her wedding.  A year passes in between the two weddings, though.

Brendan Meyers and Alyssa dated for 3 years before they were to get married and Alyssa had planned the perfect wedding.  But when she reaches the altar, Brendan bolts and she is heartbroken.

Brendan does everything he can to win  Alyssa back, but she has returned the gifts and the dress and decided to move on with her life.

Dalton Landreth sees the failed marriage as his opportunity to win Alyssa for himself.

Who will Alyssa end up with at the end of the book?

I liked "A July Bride" although it wasn't my favorite book (but they all can't be!)  I felt for Alyssa and for Brendan and just wished they could make up.  And then Dalton entered the picture.  Alyssa had always liked Dalton but he was with someone else.  Now they are both single.  Is getting together the right move?  I honestly didn't know at first who I wanted Alyssa to end up with!  Part way through, though, one of the suitors proved less than reputable to me and I knew who I wanted Alyssa to find her happily ever after with.

"A July Bride" is a novella, so it doesn't take a long time to read.  It is available for Kindle for $3.79.
