Book Review: "The Imagination Station: Captured on the High Seas" by Marianne Hering and Nancy I. Sanders

I received a free paperback copy of "The Imagination Station:  Captured on the High Seas" from Tyndale Blog Network in exchange for my honest review.

Cousins Patrick and Beth are sent aboard the Revolutionary War ship Royal Louis by the Imagination Station which gets damaged at the end of the previous book.  They become friends with James Forten when the ship is captured by the British.  What will befall them now that they are prisoners of war? Will they figure out how to help their new friend so he doesn't get sold as a slave?

"Captured at High Seas" is geared for children in the 6-9 year range.  My 8 year old devoured the book as soon as it came and checked out more of the books in the series the next time we went to the library!  I enjoyed the fact that historical events are being taught from a Biblical perspective.  If your children like The Magic Treehouse books or The Boxcar Children, they will probably enjoy the books in the Imagination Station series.  Even as an adult, I thought the story was well written and the characters were ones you could relate with and root for.
